Ethical standards in human services

Work includes training in professional ethics for staff working with clients and client information. Professional ethics include integrity, advocacy, following all laws, adherence to employer policies and procedures and proper maintenance of client records and case files. Topics will include: respecting the dignity and welfare of all people; promoting self-determination; honoring cultural diversity; and acting with integrity, honesty, genuineness and objectivity. Ethical-decision making processes will also be discussed.
