Supervisory training
Work includes providing training and technical assistance in the principles and practices of supervision and management. Supervision-related topics may include effective communications, team building, decision-making, problem-solving, coaching and counseling, improving staff productivity, motivating employees, work management, resolving workplace conflict, performance management and evaluation, and planning.
Qualified consultants will demonstrate experience in providing advice and guidance to government, business and industry on supervisory issues; possess broad-based knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and management; have significant experience teaching basic and advanced supervision courses to adult learners at varying levels - from first line supervisors to high level managers; have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and have some practical “real life” experiences as a supervisor upon which to draw in developing curriculum and presenting training material.
